We have submitted our response to the Regulator of Social Housing’s “More and Better Social Homes” call for evidence.
As a specialist housing association supporting older people in the New Forest, we strongly support the ambition to deliver more and better social homes. Our response highlights the importance of maintaining a regulatory framework that is:

✅ Focused on tenant outcomes and long-term stewardship
✅ Supportive of investment in existing homes
✅ Enabling sustainable growth and development
✅ Protective of diversity within the social housing sector
We believe that smaller specialist housing associations have an important role to play in delivering safe, affordable, high-quality homes and services.
Future regulation should recognise the distinct contribution of providers of all sizes while maintaining strong governance, financial resilience and accountability to tenants.
