There are regular events every week at both MuirCroft properties. We prefer to let tenants decide what they would like to do and help enable those activities to take place, rather than deciding for them. As part of the service charges we set aside a “scheme events budget” as a pot of money that tenants can request funds towards activities they’d like to hold. Some example of regular activities include:
- Tai Chi
- Craft Afternoon
- Music Evening
- Computer Class
- Bingo
- Visiting Mobile Hairdresser
- Church Service
- Coffee Morning and Raffle
- Pub Night
We post weekly event bulletins on noticeboards in communal areas of both properties which contain information on upcoming events.
Our Scheme Managers will encourage newly arrived tenants to join in social activities, if they wish to. They can also help to find a fellow tenant ‘buddy’ to make sure you don’t feel awkward at getting to know people and joining in, but only if you feel it would be helpful.
