New Cleaning Contract

Muircroft recently completed a competitive tender process (in full compliance with the Procurement Act 2023) for its communal cleaning services.

This followed a detailed tenant engagement process where we reviewed the cleaning requirements of Muir House and Priest Croft.

Tenants helped inform the cleaning specification and quality expectations documents used in the tender process and also had an opportunity to comment throughout our formal service charge S20 consultation process.

Muircroft appointed Sitemark, a facilities management procurement and independent best-practice benchmarking specialist, to help mange the tender process.

In total we received 38 Expressions of Interest – a strong market response – and 5 compliant tender submissions were evaluated against award criteria.

The contract was awarded to Superclean (UK) Limited for £116,204.99 over an initial 3-year term with the option to extend for up to 2 additional years.

The new contract combines periodic cleaning, window cleaning and empty homes cleaning into one contract – offering improved value for money for tenants, alongside an improved focus on reporting and listening to tenants. Tenant ‘meet and greet’ sessions were held at the end of July at both of our schemes.
