Independent Living Standards Accreditation

We’re delighted to share that we have achieved the erosh Independent Living Standards Accreditation — independent recognition of our commitment to safe, high-quality and tenant-focused housing and support for older people.

The assessment recognises the strength of our governance, value for money, equality and inclusion, personalised services, safety, tenant involvement and commitment to continuous improvement.

Our Chief Executive Officer, Duncan Clark, said:
“This achievement provides independent assurance that our services meet recognised sector standards and reflects the hard work of our team. We’ll continue to listen, learn and improve so older people can live independently, safely and with dignity in homes they are proud to call their own.”

Our Board Chairman, David Butler commented:
“Achieving the EROSH Independent Living Standards Accreditation is a significant accomplishment for Muircroft. It provides independent recognition of the quality of our services, the strength of our governance and the dedication of our staff and Board volunteers. On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank everyone involved in the assessment process, particularly our tenants whose feedback helped demonstrate the positive impact of our services. We are proud of this achievement and remain committed to continuous improvement for the benefit of current and future tenants.”

Claire Baulf, our Housing Services Manager, said:
“The ILS process has allowed us to reflect on current practice, review areas where we can do better and highlight the excellent work that happens every day, often unnoticed, to deliver a consistently high level of support that enables our tenants to live independent lives. It has been a thought-provoking and rewarding experience.”

The ILS accreditation is not the end of our journey; we will now focus on areas of suggested improvement. We will continue to listen, learn and improve our services so that older people can live independently, safely and with dignity in homes they are proud to call their own.
